EU to address stalled Danish nearshore wind project

Developer European Energy has received a positive response from the EU regarding project Omø Syd, which is currently on hold due to considerations over migratory birds. The European Parliament has now requested that the Commission launch an investigation into the matter.


Project developer European Energy submitted an urgent request in June when speaking to the European Parliament regarding nearshore wind project Omø Syd in Denmark.

The developer underscored several times that it had attempted other channels with no luck and that the EU was almost its last resort to have the 320MW wind farm be realized.
