Prior to yesterday's launch of the EU's Fit for 55 legislative package, Danish Climate, Energy and Utilities Minister Dan Jørgensen had roamed Brussels advocating that Europe's target for renewable energy generation be raised from the current 32 to 45 percent.
As it turned out, the package entails a union-wide renewable energy proportion of 40 percent by 2030, to the relative dismay of players in the Danish energy industry, including sector lobby Wind Denmark.
