Five months after announcing its upcoming offshore wind turbine, Vestas is headed for its first order. Following a tender, German utility ENBW has selected the Danish wind producer's V236-15MW offshore wind turbine as the preferred choice for German 900MW offshore wind farm He Dreiht.

When and if the order goes through, it will require a swift delivery of the wind turbine, which is expected to enter serial production in 2024.
