Fred. Olsen Windcarrier wins Vestas contract for Baltic Eagle

The Norwegian company's wind carrier is hired to transport and install 50 Vestas turbines for Germany's Baltic Eagle offshore wind farm.

Fred. Olsen Windcarrier (FOWIC) has won yet another Vestas contract, this time entailing transport and installation of 50 Vestas model V174-9.5 MW units, the offshore operator informs in a press statement.

"Our collaboration with FOWIC goes back for years and this contract award emphasizes once again our strong partnership. FOWIC brings their proven offshore wind expertise and a highly capable vessel to the Baltic Eagle site and we look forward to a safe and successful project execution," says Dennis Mordhorst, head of Marine Operations and Vessel Management at Vestas.
