Cadeler readies fleet to lift larger wind turbines

The Danish offshore operator has decided to exercise its option to replace a crane aboard vessel Wind Osprey.

Larger wind turbines call for bigger cranes. That's why Danish offshore wind shipping company Cadeler now moves to upgrade cranes aboard its installation ships, with next in line being vessel Wind Osprey.

"We are pleased to confirm that we have called the option to replace the crane on Wind Osprey, which was included in the contract made with [offshore crane supplier, -ed.] NOV in December of last year," writes Mikkel Gleerup, chief executive of Cadeler, in a statement.
