Vestas sells US tower factory

The Danish wind OEM means to strengthen its supply chain and thus divests its tower factory in Colorado to CS Wind.

Wind turbine manufacturer Vestas has made a deal with competitor CS Wind to sell the former's tower factory in Pueblo, Colorado.

Vestas writes in a statement that one reason for this sale is that the OEM wants to optimize its local supply chain: The divestment entails that the plant will be run by a firm specializing in towers going forward, and Vestas can thereby secure a larger volume.
