NKT plans to invest more than EUR 150m in high-voltage cable production

As a part of the Danish manufacturer's investment program, NKT is planning to build a new test center for high-voltage cables in Cologne, Germany, as well as a new extrusion tower at its plant in Karlskrona, Sweden.

NKT is expanding its high-voltage production capacity with an investment worth more than EUR 150m, allowing the group to execute the tasks in its order book as well as prepare for increasing demand for transmission lines spurred by the green energy transition, NKT writes in a press statement.

During 2020, NKT won a series of supply contracts for HV cables worth a total of EUR 2.3bn.
