First Enventus wind farm operational

A German project developer has switched on the first facility using machines from Vestas' modular platform.

This week sees a small passage added to wind energy's development history near Germany's border with Poland, where German project developer Notus commissions wind farm Beesenberg II slightly north of Potsdam.

What's special about this expansion farm is that, while the number of turbines only increases by 2 to a total 14, the farm's capacity is expanded by one fifth to 56.6 MW via the first commercial installation of Danish wind OEM Vestas' Enventus platform.
