Report connects 42 percent of Norwegian wind energy to tax havens

Organization the Tax Justice Network ties a large proportion of Norway's wind energy generation to ownerships in tax havens.

In a report, the Tax Justice Network writes that seven of the ten largest owning companies in Norway's wind sector can be traced to tax havens through either their ownership structure or financing.

"Some wind power companies' underlying ownerships were impossible to establish because the traces ended in tax havens," says Peter Ringstad, political adviser at Tax Justice Network Norway, in a press release.
