GE sets up production in UK

As of 2023, the US wind turbine manufacturer will produce blades for its Haliade-X model in Teesside via a new factory employing nearly 750 personnel.

Turbine blades for the world's largest offshore wind farm are going to be produced locally.

GE, which bagged a firm order for the first two phases of Dogger Bank and is the preferred supplier to the final stage of the 3.6-GW complex, announces its plan to establish blade production in Teesside, the UK. The factory will build blades extending to 107 meters and employ almost 750 personnel once operational in 2023.
