Siemens Gamesa awards contract worth EUR 460m

A Brazilian wind turbine blade manufacturer has taken in a markedly larger-than-expected order to supply equipment for capacity totaling 3.8 GW over the next four years.

Brazilian wind subsupplier Aeris is hired to supply turbine blades for Siemens Gamesa's machines. The OEM has signed an order with the blade maker worth an estimated BRL 3bn (EUR 460m). The contract, running until mid-2025, pertains to blades for turbines with a combined capacity of 3.8 GW, Aeris informs in a stock exchange notice.

"The company believes that the signing of the agreement, besides representing a relevant factor for the increase of its revenue, has an important strategic characteristic regarding the consolidation of its performance in the foreign market, reinforcing the growth and expansion process of its business," the group writes in the statement.
