SSE Renewables and Equinor have awarded Hitachi ABB Power Grids another contract on offshore wind farm Dogger Bank.
The contract pertains to a third of the 130-kilometer transmission line going from the facility, which will have a planned capacity of 3.6 GW, to mainland Britain. Before any real celebrations begin, though, the contract is pending the final investment decision on Dogger Bank's third phase, expected ready by the end of 2021.
