Aker's wind venture books EUR 6.8m deficit for first half year

Norway's Aker Offshore Wind reports a deficit of NOK 69.6 million after its first half-year period as an independent unit.

After its first half year as an independent business spun off from Aker Solutions, Aker Offshore Wind ends with a deficit of NOK 69.6 million (EUR 6.8 million) after taking stock of the third and fourth quarters.

As a new company, however, Aker Offshore Wind does expect earnings to lie somewhere beyond the horizon, with several wind projects under development meant to ensure positive figures in future accounting.
