Siemens Gamesa has received an order for 759 MW for offshore wind project Hollandse Kust Noord, where the OEM will deliver 69 model SG 11-200 DD units to the zero-subsidy facility, under development by the Crosswind consortium consisting of Shell, owning 79.9 percent, and Eneco holding the remaining fifth. Installation is expected to both begin and conclude during 2023.
This is the third offshore wind undertaking Shell is engaged with in the Netherlands. Another, Borssele 3+4, commissioned late last year, but this is the first time the oil company has selected Siemens Gamesa after having previously nominated Vestas as supplier.
