Aker Solutions' former offshore wind chief starts own firm

After having worked in oil and gas for more than 20 years, Knut Vassbotn, previously head of offshore wind at Aker Solutions, forms his own offshore wind company.

Former Aker Solutions business development head Knut Vassbotn launches his own offshore wind company named Deep Wind Offshore.

He does so in collaboration with Haugaland Kraft, Sunnhordland Kraftlag and Knutsen OAS, a shipping company headquartered in Haugesund, Northwestern Norway, all eying opportunities within the offshore wind segment.
