Hitecvision buys into Norwegian hydropower

Stavanger-based investment firm Hitecvision buys a 3.67-percent stake in Haugaland Kraft in order to add more renewable energy to its portfolio.

Hitecvision, Norway's largest private equity firm, wants a bigger piece of the country's energy sector. Now, at the start of the year, this ambition is emphasized by a smaller stake purchase in Haugaland Kraft, while additional energy acquisitions are on the drawing board, reports Montel.

"We think this is very exciting. The most important thing is that Haugaland Kraft is a good company, but it's also a step in the direction we want to go," Hitecvision Senior Partner Alf C. Thorkildsen tells Montel.
