Vestas reveals customer behind record order

The turbine manufacturer expands a Brazilian wind complex by more than half a gigawatt, bringing the project to a total size of nearly one gigawatt during construction.

Good news cannot be repeated enough times.

As EnergyWatch reported in May, Brazilian project developer Casa dos Ventos planned to expand its already big wind complex Rio de Vento by 534 MW, consisting of 120 Vestas V150-4.2 MW turbines. And last month, the manufacturer announced that it had entered a conditional agreement totaling more than 500 MW in Latin America. But Tuesday evening, the news was finally made public.
