Three years back, Vestas invested in Swedish battery company Northvolt. The timing was a fine fit with the OEM's focus shift from only playing on the wind power field to pursuing a broader business model within sustainable energy.
The group is now walking even further along that path with the launch of its investment platform, Vestas Ventures, which seeks to make early entries into startups engaged in sustainable energy solutions.
