There'll be a whole 12 GW's worth of subsidy to compete for next year when CfDs are allocated once again.
The fourth round of Contracts for Difference (CfD) to be held in 2021 will see 15 years of subsidy allocated to 12 GW in energy capacity, writes the UK Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) in a statement.
In the previous CfD round, subsidies were awarded for 5.8 GW, and next year's capacity is thereby a doubling.
