RWE completes big Nordex purchase

The German utility has closed the deal and takes over a portfolio of projects totaling 2.7 GW.

In a transaction with Nordex worth roughly EUR 400 million, German power company RWE has given a substantial boost to its project pipeline.

These developments mainly pertain to France, accounting for 1.9 GW of the 2.7 GW total comprised of projects in various stages of maturity. However, the portfolio, consisting of 2.6 GW wind and 100 MW solar, also entails countries such as Sweden, Spain and Poland.
