Ørsted expects to postpone 2.8 GW of offshore wind

It's "highly likely" that practically all of the utility's US project portfolio will be delayed even more than previously supposed.

All good things come to those who wait.

That's at least the hope of companies engaged in US offshore wind at the moment. Thus far, they have been obliged to just wait – and all the good things might take longer to arrive than first forecast, Ørsted acknowledges in its third quarter interim report, published Wednesday morning.
