Danish-German interconnector ready after countless delays

The grids of Germany and Denmark become more closely connected by a new cable tying together offshore wind farms.

Normally, third time should be the charm. But when it comes to the connection between Danish offshore wind farm Kriegers Flak and Germany's Baltic 1 and 2, that number must be multiplied by three.

The Danish-German cable has been postponed no less than eight times, but now the time has finally come for the two countries' electricity grids to be connected through these offshore wind farms.
