Anti-wind group founder detained in action against wind farm

Construction work at Norway's Haram wind farm has been disrupted this summer, and now the founder and leader of anti-wind group Motvind, Rune Haaland – also a co-founder of green organization Bellona – has been arrested in connection with an action.

Rune Haaland, secretary general of Norwegian anti-wind energy group Motvind and co-founder of domestic environmental organization Bellona was arrested yesterday during a protest action against the construction of the Haramsøya wind farm.

The demonstration aimed to halt transport of explosives to the island for use in connection with early-stage installation efforts.
