Two Norwegian companies are joining forces to develop a new "giant vessel" to be used for installing offshore wind turbines, writes media Finansavisen.
The companies in question are subsea contractor Ocean Installer and shipbuilder Vard, which will develop "one of the world's most advanced specialty vessels" together to be used to install the offshore wind turbines of the future. Turbines that will not be able to fit aboard the installation vessels currently in existence.
