Obton takes full bounty at Irish energy auction

The Danish solar investor secured subsidies for 11 in 11 solar projects in Ireland and now announces its entry into the European top ten.

There's every reason to pop the champagne and fill up glasses at Obton's headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark, as the company has been highly successful in Ireland's first energy auction, the Renewable Electricity Support Scheme (RESS).

In collaboration with Irish firm Shannon Energy, Obton has secured subsidies for all 11 of its projects totaling 120 MW in capacity.
