NKT increases deficit despite "historical quarter"

The Danish cable maker advances compared to last year but remains in the low end of the earnings spectrum.


NKT has had a curious second quarter this year.

The Danish cable manufacturer finally saw a breakthrough in the corridor project through Germany that's meant to increase the limited capacity in the country, where the company has a factory as well as large ambitions – and, after recent months, major contracts on both SuedOstLink and SuedLink. Most recently, NKT secured an order for German project BorWin5, although this came after the end of the quarter.
