GE seeks to block Siemens Gamesa from US market

General Electric claims that Siemens Gamesa is using the former's proprietary technology that ensures wind turbines remain connected to the grid in situations with load frequency fluctuations.

US-based industrial conglomerate General Electric has asked the US International Trade Commission to block imports made by its competitor, Siemens Gamesa.

GE has submitted a complaint with the agency, claiming that the German-Spanish OEM uses a technology patented by GE that ensures wind turbines remain connected to the electrical network in the event of load frequency deviations, Bloomberg Law reports.
