CIP enters Japanese offshore wind joint venture

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries launch a new offshore wind partnership in an effort to best bolster their competitiveness on the attractive budding market.

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) are now joining forces in an attempt gain even stronger footing on Japan's burgeoning offshore wind market.

The two players have thus formed a new joint venture, CIP confirms Thursday morning in a media release. The JV will develop offshore wind projects from Hokkaido, Japan, via a collaborative team of specialists.
