Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas has been chosen to supply 83 turbines to the 332 MW wind farm Zeewolde, to be established in partnership between the project developer of the same name, which consists of a number of local farmers in particular, as well as bank Rabobank and the turbine maker.
The manufacturer will provide a mixed bag of turbines from its 2 MW and 4 MW platforms, which will replace more than 200 existing ones, nearly tripling capacity in the process. Moreover, a 20-year service contract of the type AOM 5000 has been signed. And Rabobank provides both guarantee and a project loan for around EUR 500 million to the establishment.
