Enercon lands deal with banks

The German OEM secures its future after reaching an agreement with its owner and banks on credit and guarantee issuances lasting up to late 2023.

After a horrific year with massive staff dismissals and an abysmal deficit, Enercon has spent most of 2020 holding its breath while waiting for a long-term credit agreement to fall in place.

Now Enercon can take in a little air again. The wind turbine manufacturer writes in a press statement that it has struck a deal with its owner, German businessman Aloys Wobben, and its banks. Earlier rumors had it that Enercon was in talks with Commerzbank and state-owned KfW Ipex.
