MHI Vestas to supply turbines to large Japanese project

The OEM will reportedly supply offshore wind turbines to Japan's Yurihonjo project with an expected approximate capacity of 700 MW.

MHI Vestas will deliver equipment to an offshore wind project off the coast of Yurihonjo, Japan, informs Renova, one of the companies backing the project, in a statement Thursday.

The development is slated to achieve an effect of around 700 MW, thereby making it Japan's largest offshore wind facility. The scope of the order remains undisclosed, and MHI Vestas has not yet confirmed the contract.
