Energy professor says renewables consumption rose in 2019

New renewable energy sources are even cheaper than oil per generated energy unit, and oil demand could soon peak, energy professor tells Reuters.

The era of fossil fuels might be coming to an end, says Tomas Kåberger, professor of energy at Chalmers University of Technology, according to Reuters.

Kåberger, who chairs the executive board of Japan's Renewable Energy Institute and is an ordinary board member at Swedish utility Vattenfall, informs the news agency of data on more than 70 percent of the world's energy generation.
