Enercon headed for half a billion in deficit

The German wind turbine maker is heading towards a crushing deficit of more than EUR 500 million and is now in intense negotiations with its banks.

German wind turbine manufacturer Enercon has been greatly impacted by a collapse in its domestic market, and this year it expects a crushing deficit of more than EUR 500 million.

This year's downturn follows last year's deficit of EUR 200 million and has forced the company into negotiations with its creditors, writes Recharge News, which has been in contact with Enercon's Chief Financial Officer Thomas Cobet.
