Siemens Gamesa lands largest floating turbine order to date

Equinor has allocated supply contracts worth NOK 3.3 billion (EUR 320 million) for Norway's largest floating offshore wind farm. Kvaerner and Subsea 7 also win a few slices of the pie.

Equinor has awarded big contracts for its coming floating offshore wind farm, Hywind Tampen. The Norwegian oil company, which is developing the 88MW project along with the other stakeholders of oil fields Gullfaks and Snorre, has signed agreements with Siemens Gamesa, Kvaerner, Subsea 7 and JDR Cables. The contracts have a combined value of NOK 3.3 billion (EUR 320 million), Equinor informs in statement.
