Equinor presents big plans for pioneer floating wind project

The Norwegian oil company and its partners have made their final investment decision to install floating wind project Tampen for an approximate total cost of NOK 5 billion, parties inform Friday.

Tampen Hywind will become a reality. The project's three partners have made their final investment decision for the prestigious project, which will become Norway's first floating wind farm, Equinor reveals in a statement.

The project will cost around NOK 5 billion (EUR 500 million) to develop. Norwegian state green power fund Enova and domestic NOx Fund are supporting the project with NOK 2.3 billion and NOK 566 million, respectively.
