Danish electrical installation company Procon has secured another offshore wind contract.
The company, which established subsidiary Procon Wind in February when it acquired Scanel's wind assets, has been hired by German foundation manufacturer EEW to carry out the electrical work on 30 transition pieces (TPs) on Ørsted's British offshore wind farm Hornsea 2, informs Procon on Linkedin.
"We are extremely proud to be a part of this prestigious and well-known project as it supports the notions regarding our business growth along with our core emphasis on quality and delivery on time at competitive prices," writes Procon.
The work on Hornsea 2 will take place in the first and second quarter next year.
The assignment is the first since Procon Wind moved its offices from Aarhus to Aalborg in Denmark last week. The placement close to the North Sea has brought the company closer to is customers and projects. Last month, the company entered an agreement with Bladt to conduct the electrical work on transition pieces for Vattenfall's Danish Kriegers Flak project.
