Ørsted's US business exceeds expectations

Ørsted has seriously cemented its position in the US offshore wind market, exceeding its own expectations, says offshore CEO Martin Neubert.

The Danish utility and offshore wind developer quickly forecast that US offshore wind could become one its major growth markets, however, Ørsted's US entry did not go quite as smoothly as initially hoped.

In any case, the company returned home empty handed from the country's first offshore wind tender in last year, when Ørsted's rivals won the first three victories in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut.
