GE lands contract for Turkish wind projects

GE Renewable Energy will supply equipment for a series of wind projects in Turkey with a combined capacity of 158 MW. The deal also includes a 10-year service agreement.

GE Renewable Energy will supply equipment to several wind projects in Turkey with a combined capacity of 158 MW distributed among five facilities located in Izmir, Bilecik, Sakarya and near Istanbul, the US-based OEM informs in a press statement Monday.

Partners Türkerler and RT Enerji selected GE to deliver and install 49 of its 3 MW machines to the developments. These 158 MW will reportedly be able to generate power for around 183,000 households.
