GE to open an offshore wind turbine factory in China

US conglomerate General Electric aims to manufacture offshore wind turbines in a forthcoming factory in Jieyang, China, from 2021.

GE Renewable Energy (GERE) plans to open a new offshore wind turbine factory in China.

The facility will be located in the Chinese city of Jieyang and is set to begin producing the company's 12 MW Haliade-X offshore model in the second half of 2021, reports sector media Recharge.
