Sif to deliver monopiles at zero-bid

Dutch foundation manufacturer Sif will deliver monopiles to three of four zones at Vattenfall's Hollandse Kust Zuid projects.

Swedish utility Vattenfall emerged as the big winner in the Dutch offshore wind tenders, where the company wiped the floor with its competitors with zero-bids. But good times for offshore wind turbines also benefit subsuppliers.

Netherlands-based Sif Holding is feeling this effect. The company is to produce 114 monopiles which will be used for three of the four project zones, informs the foundation manufacturer in a press statement.
