The American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) hires lawyer Laura Smith Morton to lead the organization's legal efforts within offshore wind. This comes at a time when US offshore wind is headed into a period of massive growth with several upcoming projects on the US East Coast, writes the organization in a press release.

She will, among other things, handle regulatory strategies and legal policies for the US offshore wind industry.
