Vestas secures German order

The Danish wind turbine manufacturer is to supply an expansion of one of the world's largest citizen-owned wind farms.

Vestas is to deliver 12 wind turbines totaling 41 MW to an expansion of a citizen-owned wind farm in Schleswig-Holstein, northern Germany, informs the wind turbine manufacturer in a statement.

The 12 turbines are of the type V112-3.45 MW and are to be used at wind farm Bürgerwindpark Reußenköge. With this order, the wind farm will reach a capacity of 210 MW – with the option to increase by a further 300 MW in the coming years – placing it among the world's largest citizen-owned wind farms.
