JSB expects to reach milestone this year

Recently acquired subsupplier JSB Group stands to almost halve its profit. Behind the figures, however, is a business with continued profitable growth, asserts CEO.

Last October, JSB Group's ownership changed once again. Swiss group Gurit paid DKK 520 million (EUR 69.7 million) for the Danish company, which has delivered composite materials for wind turbine blades since the late 1980s, after JSB had been owned for two years by equity fund Verdan Capital.

However, this does not seem to have been an immediate success. The company's 2018 profit thus landed at nearly DKK 17 million (EUR 2.3 million), 47 percent lower than last year's result and the lowest level since the subsupplier was acquired by Pentaco Partners in 2012, according to the company's annual report.
