State-owned Norwegian energy company Statkraft has decided to initiate construction of hydropower plant Los Lagos by the Pilmaiquén River in Chile, 900 kilometers south of Santiago and close to the existing Rucatayo power plant, the company announces in a press release.
The expected capacity of the power plant is 52 MW, an annual production of 260 GWh. The project's frame of investment is USD 200 million.
