Authorities approve Ørsted's Rhode Island project

Rhode Island authorities have approved a 20-year PPA for the 400 MW Revolution Wind project, jointly owned by Ørsted and Eversource.

Tuesday, authorities in Rhode Island approved a 20-year power purchase agreement for the 400 MW Revolution Wind project, jointly owned by Ørsted and Eversource, the Danish company informs in a press statement.

Following the purchase of US developer Deepwater Wind, Ørsted sold a half stake in some of its New England offshore wind activities to Eversource for an approximate price of USD 225 million. Ørsted and Eversource have been partners since 2016 in the Bay State Wind offshore facility off the coast of Massachusetts.
