Solar group expects 1.3 TW by 2023

Following last year's record-large expansion, trade association Solarpower Europe estimates that an additional 800 GW of global solar capacity will be installed over the next five years.

In a general sense, staring into the sun is rarely wise. Although something other than eye injury can be gleaned from that direction – the main renewable energy source of the future.

Well, at least according to trade association Solarpower Europe's latest prognosis, which projects that a further 800 GW of solar capacity will be installed up to 2023. Adding that volume to the world's existing combined capacity totals to 1.3 TW.
