Finnish wave power firm nears orders for Indian facilities

Finland's wave energy company Wello has signed a letter of intent to supply equipment for two wave power projects in Indian waters.

Finnish wave energy company Wello has signed a letter of intent with India firm Ixin regarding equipment supply for two wave farms, reports Wello in a press statement.

The press release informs that Ixin, cooperating with Indian authorities, is interested in buying two "packages" of Wello's wave energy product, Penguin Core, for deployment. The two wave farms will be rated at 20 MW and 10 MW and will be installed off the country's west coast near Mumbai and off the eastern coast, respectively.
