Competition for Denmark's coming offshore wind farm kicks off

Danish port executives are competing to attract the thousands of jobs that will arise in connection with the development of the country's coming offshore wind, Thor.

In the Nordic mythological tradition, sacrifices made to Thor could make an area fertile.

A similar thing seems to be true about the thunder god's contemporary namesake, offshore wind project Thor, which, as the first of three new facilities planned in Denmark's 2018 energy policy, will be sent to tender later this year and is planned to supply power to between 800,000 and 1 million households in Denmark.
