Siemens and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) are considering a joint venture partnership. Due to the fact the the latter already operates a joint venture for wind turbine manufacturing with Siemens' main competitor, Vestas, one might be tempted to write this off as hot air, which it indeed is – in a sense.
The German and and Japanese industrial conglomerates are said to be negotiating a gas turbine partnership, reports both Reuters and German media Manager Magazin based on information from anonymous sources. Neither of the companies have wished to comment.
