In December, the establishment license for Denmark's coming offshore wind farm Vesterhav Syd was repealed by the energy regulator's appeal committee, leading to a new environmental impact assessment (EIA) that began in February. Now Swedish utility Vattenfall has requested that the planned adjacent facility Vesterhav Nord undergo the same process.
This request comes despite the fact that Vesterhav Nord falls outside the appeal committee's ruling, but the energy regulator has nonetheless accommodated Vattenfall.
